Moving across the country!

Let's be honest here when you move across the country you have to make it a vacation! Well that's what we did at least! My mom came in town to make the long drive with us, and my dad rode on his harley all the way from Spokane to Milwaukee, he is a true biker dude! The first day was the longest, we drove from Provo to Mt. Rushmore! Aka South Dakota. We had a lot of fun at Mt. Rushmore and the little cities surrounding it. Caution don't ever stay at the Budget Host Inn, in Rapid City, SD. If you ever see it you will know why! The next day we journeyed on toward Omaha, we didn't make it there and stayed in a small town in SD. On our way we stopped at the Badlands National Park, It was pretty cool driving through it! Jason loved it! This was Day 1 and Day 2! Day 3 we made it to Omaha and I must say it is a pretty cool city! We also got to go to Winter Quarters, That was pretty cool and we saw the pioneer cemetery. Those of you who don't know my Mom is a huge sports fan, especially college sports, and the college world series, Rosenblatt stadium is in Omaha so my mom was dying to go there to we made a trip there so she could experience what it would be like! The next morning before we left we went to Council Bluffs and we really enjoyed that, I personally enjoyed hearing all about the Mormon Battalion. Then we were off to Nauvoo, I have never been there so it was so much fun, we got to go to the pageant which was great! We stayed in Nauvoo for 2 days. It was just fun to see all the church sites! On our way out we stopped at Carthage Jail and what a great experience that was! I think we all enjoyed it! After Carthage we headed North to Milwaukee and got there in the evening, and we have been loving every minute of being here but that will be another post so keep checking back!
