back to reality...
i feel like while your pregnant things just kinda get pushed aside for awhile and then after once your adjusted to life with a new baby its time to get back to the big projects you had planned/were doing before!
so i am getting back on the band wagon with writing my book! i worked on it here and there while pregnant but was not as dedicated to it as i wish i would have been! i was on a roll for awhile and am now trying to jump back in!
other than reinvesting myself back into to writing, this is what we have been up to for the last little while:
Jason's aunt and uncle live just north of Austin, we love having family close! they came up for a quick visit to see us and we really enjoyed spending time with them!
my cute cousin josett and her family live in Austin so we drove up there while my mom was here after burton was born, we had fun with her and her cute family!
we went to a baseball game just shortly after burton was born i think he was 2 weeks, we had to introduce him to the all american sport right away! soon i will be making him a Red Sox fan!
burton turned 1 month!
my cousin josett came to visit us just 2 weeks after her new little boy was born! we spent time catching having movie nights, junk food parties while the kids were sleeping! burton and oliver her little guy are 2 weeks apart!
Grandma Croskrey came to visit us for about a week right before we left to come to spokane! she took kenzie back with her and we meet them in spokane three days after her and kenzie left! thanks grandma for the break!
burton turned 2 months!
we had so many visitors and it was so fun!!

Burton Royal Croskrey - 07.08.2014
Burton was born on Tuesday 07.08.2014 at 4:49 AM weighed 7 lbs 8 ounces and was 20 inches long! the few days previous i was having contractions every 10 mins for about an hour or two at a time, and then they would stop for awhile. on sunday the 6th i was having pretty strong contractions and they were pretty consistent but not close enough together yet, so i went to bed. I woke up on the 7th and felt a little nauseous and not very hungry my contractions weren't too bad during the day luckily! my mom was here so we were doing fun things that day with her. we got home from a full day of fun and headed straight to Kenzie's dance class, i felt pretty good still having contractions, but they were getting more painful while i was at dance class. we got done with dance around 7 and went to rudys for dinner just me my mom and kenzie. i started having very very strong contractions and ate only a bite or two at rudys, which is not a normal thing because it is rudys the best BBQ! so we got home and it was around 9 ish and i was in lots of pain you know the pacing, couldn't stand or sit. jason was working still which is the norm now. i texted him at around 10 ish and said we are having a baby soon so he should come home! he got home about 10:45 and we took a couple pictures (at my moms request) and then went to the hospital. got there at about 11:30 and went to L&D and i was 5 cm dilated, but my contractions had gotten farther apart after being in the hospital bed for an hour so they were going to send me home, but the nurse decided to check me again and she said that my water had broke and i was being admitted. i was checked again shortly after and was dilated to a 6. so i got to my room and got an IV put in by a nursing student and by the time she was done trying i had 3 bruises on my arm, so the actual nurse got it on the 1st try and then i got my epidural and fell asleep. jason was there and he fell asleep on a little pull out couch they had in the room. at around 4 am they woke me up to check me again and i was at a 10, so they went to get the on call Dr. she was in an emergency c-section so i had to wait. that didn't happen they told me to do a "practice push" so i did and his head crowned and they ran to get the dr. and she got there just in time to catch him. I only pushed twice and it took 2 minutes and he was out! they had also woken jason up right before i was going to push. jason went to work at 6 ish and burton was taken to the nursery.
i got to my room finally at around 10 am and burton was there with me, he had some stomach digestion problems. they think it was due to him being born so fast and swallowing lots of amniotic fluid. they did some X-rays to be safe, but luckily everything was normal! he had to stay and extra day to make sure.
We sure do love this little guy, he is such a good baby! he knows what he wants and is very good at telling me when. he has a very strong set of lungs!

Pregnancy update : 33-39 weeks
These few weeks have been kinda all over place, as far as emotions and events and just getting ready for this little man! we have been trying to spring clean, get projects done and visited family! it has been fun and has gone by sooooo fast! i started having lots more braxton hicks at about 34 weeks, and started dilating around that same time, i was at a 2 beginning of june! a few days later we flew to spokane to go to Jesse and Hannah's wedding, and to visit all sorts of family! it was a much needed break and fun time! i love being with family and cannot wait till we live there again! after we got back we were able to do more projects, like stripping wallpaper, painting and sewing! at 38 weeks i started having some high blood pressure, so i had to monitor it for a few days and then go back in and recheck it. it got out of the high zone, but is still a little high for me. but i don't have to be induced! not that i don't want him to come soon, i would just prefer to go into labor naturally! i also at 38 weeks made a trip to the hospital, i thought my water broke, but it didn't? but that night i dilated a lot more and had regular contractions for about 5 hours. He is getting ready to make his debut! this week i got a bad cold and hope that labor and delivery go well if i still have my cold! i really just hope it goes away in the next 24 hours! other than being ready to be done! baby boy is doing great and growing very fast, and is very healthy! and thats what matters most to me! the next blog entry will be about his birth hopefully!!

Pregnancy Update: 23-32 weeks
only 8 weeks to go! these last few months have been great but also stressful. due to my broken pelvis 8 years ago, i have a hard time carrying babies. i have had some signs of pre term labor since about 29 weeks so i have started physical therapy to help strengthen my pelvic and lower abdominal muscles. I started going in march and have been doing well and hopefully it will continue to help. The first week in march I woke up with shooting pain in my knee and leg area and could not put any pressure on my leg, i would almost fall over if i tried to walk, i then saw a huge blueish, purple and enlarged vein under my knee, which i had never had before in my life. I called my doctor the next day and was told to go the ER to make sure there was no DVT, luckily there was not, but the pain persisted and within a few weeks the pain had gotten much better. physical therapy was helping. then at 31 weeks the same thing happened with massive pain and swelling in my leg and foot and was unable to walk for a few days, i was again told to get another ultrasound of my leg, and again there was no DVT. the pain has gotten better not sure if my knee and calf will ever go back to not being blueish and purple, but feel grateful that its not more serious then it could be. they say that i have phlebitis in my leg, and now have to wear compression stockings to help the inflammation and swelling. I have also started to wear a specific type of belt, for my hips to keep them in place. i am praying this baby boy doesn't come too early, i hope i can carry him to full term! other than all the pelvic and leg and hip stuff going on, i am feeling very good and the little man has been very healthy throughout all this stuff going on thankfully! i feel blessed to have such amazing friends who have been a huge help with kenzie, while jason works long hours these days.
