8 Weeks
BEWARE this may be TMI for you:
this pregnancy is so completely different than my pregnancy with kenzie in so many ways that i decided i should probably document all the little details before i forget them all!
So today i am 8w 6days pregnant! It has been a roller coaster ride just getting to this point and feel blessed everyday, because i already know that this little baby inside me almost didn't make it and we aren't out of the woods yet, but each day i feel blessed because of the sweet spirit that this little one has is so strong, and determined.
Flashback to my pregnancy with kenzie, i had just recently a few months prior had 2 grand mal seizures and almost lost my life in one of them and was trying to recover emotionally and physically from them, i was going through multiple medications changes and mentally was not doing so hot, to say the least! i got put on a drug that caused all sorts of crazy side effects and i literally had everyone of them, to say the least i was extremely unhealthy all around. I was having seizures frequently still and i was also working full time and trying to make ands meet for the two of us. i started getting sick with something around the middle of february, and wasn't sure and finally had some testing done all in the midst of the seizure situation and found i had gotten a C.diff infection most likely from my hospitalization just a month prior. I was put on antibiotics for a month and got pregnant with kenzie a few weeks later. she was a bit of a surprise since we had stopped trying due to my health, that being said she is the best surprise i have ever received and so grateful that i am alive to be with her, she is such a joy! my pregnancy with kenzie was very difficult i was extremely sick had hyperemesis was hospitalized once and i really can't complain because my little lady was healthy the whole time, we were literally being lifted by angels i feel at that time.
Baby # 2!
No seizures, me healthy all around and those are the big differences! this pregnancy started off with a few aspects similar to my first, in the fact that i randomly this time had a colon infection prior to getting pregnant but a very mild one, but was still on antibiotics for a week, and then got pregnant a week later! I found out at 3 weeks i was pregnant, at my routine female examine/getting some help on trying to get pregnant since we had stopped for a month because of lack of success and stress. TMI, anyway I found that i actually was pregnant but i thought some of my symptoms were just from my recovering of my infection so planned but not quite what i expected the doctor to tell me but also very happy and excited! I was in tears in the office when they told me! this was OCT 29.
OCT 30- started having tiny cramping but thought it was normal pregnancy cramping but did not have any with kenzie, but didn't think much of it.
OCT 31- woke up in the morning in excruciating pain and went to the bathroom and had some bleeding and cramping and naturally i freaked out, who wouldn't right! had i not tested positive so early i probably would have just thought i was starting my period, because my periods are pretty uncomfortable. anyway so i immediately called my doctor and they told me i was to rest for the next 4 days for sure and then go from there, and not lift over 15 lbs, and come in and get my levels drawn and then recheck them a few days later. again i freaked out and called friends to get a priesthood blessing, my sweet friend Julie was so great at calming me and finding help, she found people to give me a blessing and she even found babysitters and had meals set up. after my blessing i was much calmer and felt at peace with the situation, and knew things would be ok whatever the Lord had in store for us. went to the doctor and got my blood drawn and then rested the next few days as told, i did probably over do it some, but it is a little hard to care for a 2 year old and supposed to be resting. During this CRAZY morning/afternoon i could not get ahold Jason so that didn't make the situation very pleasant either. i literally could not walk for more than about 10 steps without being in excruitaing pain, and need to sit. but my adrenaline kicked in for this baby!
NOV 1- i was planning on taking our car in to get the tire fixed the day before, since it was basically not drivable unless you filled it with air every time you drove it, real safe! so that was the only car i had to drive since i was planning on doing that but was so blessed that nothing happened. so i had to take the car in and had lots of help from friends while doing that we seriously were just blessed left and right for the next few days.
NOV 2- my blood work all came back within the normal pregnancy range, so we were very grateful, but i still needed to rest, that being said jason was working crazy hours, and i literally saw him for maybe 2 hours a day for the past 2 months, besides him sleeping, anyway that made things a little more complicating, but we had so much help from friends.
NOV 3- Got my blood drawn again and was told to take it easy, and still not lift.
NOV 4- Blood work was good and levels were coming up like normal!
i continued to cramp and spot for about 5 days and finally i started having some symptoms of a yeast infection and they gave me diflucan and my cramping went away 2 days later and so did the spotting.
i have felt pretty good this pregnancy other than the little scare at the beginning, no extreme vomitting, just bad headaches and lots of nausea and very fatigued, but we have been so blessed and really i have felt the hand of God in our life.

Oh my goodness. I can't believe you had such horrible seizures! How scary! It's ok if Kenzie watches hours upon hours of tv everyday. You need to take it easy! She is young and won't remember a thing! I hope things get better and easier for you, and that you start feeling better soon!
I'm glad you wrote all of this down! :) I wish I was closer to help, but am glad that you have such great friends taking care of you! Now you need to take care of yourself!!! Lov e you! Can't wait to see you guys! But not until you are a little more stable with this little one!
